Rain and Hydrangeas

Spent a couple of days in a very wet North Wales – didn’t matter really because its just as beautiful when there’s no sun – Portmeirion looked pretty and strangely familiar – having seen ‘The Prisoner’ in the ‘60s, I kept expecting a big white blob to come blubbering across the beach, but no, it was all very sedate. The hydrangeas there are fantastic and the photos I took don’t do them justice. Not my favorite plant/flower, but for some reason it gives the place a very 1950’s feel and they added to the surreal atmosphere.

The hydrangeas look really lovely. I have a picture with all my children in, taken at Portmeirion from exactly the same spot as your second from last one. They were all small then and in their thirties now but Portmeirion looks exactly the same. A really beautiful place.

Although I live in Wales I've never been there. But then it is in a different part of the country, - too far away for a day out. I've never seen 'the prisoner' either lol. Thanks for showing the photos. I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday.
