In my usual way, I seem to have mislaid the labels for the Croprosmia which I have so cannot give you the names. Instead I’ve taken a cople of piphoto’s of the leaves and perhaps you will recognise them.
This is my favourite one.
This is mainly a reddish bronze colour but the new leaves are green.
This one is the one which was frost damaged and is the only one planted directly into the earth. It’s leaves ar normally the green colour you see.

That second one looks a bit like my new 'Pacific Night', and the first one could be one I had, called 'Fireburst'. I don't know the third one, at all.
Thanks for posting this blog, Toto - I appreciate it. :-)

I agree Linclass.
Sorry Spritz, it's the best I can do. I wish I could have been more help.

this is a plant i havent grown. what are its virtues?

It is very attractive, usually variegated with very glossy leaves. It comes in various colour combinations. I wrote a blog about my collection at the end of last year - take a look! It is a small shrub, and slow-growing.
Sadly, it is not hardy and I lost most of mine in the frost in spite of fleecing.

I believe it's common name is "Mirror Plant" Spritz. Is that correct?

Yes - spot on. That's also a good description of the leaves, isn't it!

I have heard of it then, and as you say not hardy which is wht i have never been tempted by it :o)

Thanks Spritz. It's definitely an apt description.

Dont it make you mad when you lose the labels,I always lost mine in the past but now I register them on here and am highly delighted when someone shows a pic of a plant I recognize as one in my garden, especially if I,ve forgotten its name. Good ole GOY.LOL..........
