After a brief respite I am back. We have had quite a few gentle showers, just what the garden needs after the dry spell and then yesterday we had a heavy downpour. The plants in the garden have a new lease of life, except for the braeburn apple. No change there, I have done the bark test again and it is still green. I think it must be putting all its energy into forming a root ball. If it doesn’t get some leaves soon though it will be Autumn.
My black lace performed a feat of Lazarus proportions after the harsh winter and now it has a profusion of lovely pink lace flower heads. Absolutely gorgeous.

I'm glad to hear something has recovered well. I hope mine gives a good display but it's very slow. I hope your apple tree perks up soon. It must be annoying for you.
