Space violets

I just bought the largest African violet I ever saw. After I got it home I read the tag and found out why it was so huge. It was propagated from seeds that were sent into orbit for almost six years in space! It was a bit expensive, now I see why!
I can never cease to be amazed by plants. I hope you all enjoy this bit of a blog, have a great day!:)

Fantastic plant...in fact, I'd say it's 'out of this world'.........
Seriously, though, what a lovely colour the flowers are. Very nice!

It's a lovely plant and so full of flowers. Their trip into space must have done those seeds good :o)
