Turning our garden into a child friendly haven

My husband and I are expecting our first child in August, so thought best we pull our fingers out and make our house and garden child friendly. The house was easy!! Now on to the garden…….

We had a large tree in our garden that was not only blocking out the light, but was also affecting the wall behind it.

The tree has now been chopped down, and already it looks loads better, apart from the twenty large sacks of garden waste and the huge bundle of logs we are waiting to be picked up.!!

We have also lowered the wall that was behind the tree and that also makes the garden feel bigger and brighter.

Next on the list to do is to repair the wall where the tree has been pushing on it for so long, whenever the rain stops that is!!

Once we have done the wall, we hope to pull up the paving and change it to grass. Did I mention this is all very new to us? lol

Will keep you posted and try to add photos along the way… No laughing though!!!
