Making the most of a rare sunny day & climbing the hill called Burnswark an old roman fort with panoramic views.

The turbines with evidence of the roman fort in the foreground.

I was being watched.

I loved the grasses blowing in the breeze as I looked out to the scottish hills.

The farmers are all busy cutting their lush green silage.

Scenic views over the Solway.

The hills of Cumbria & Criffel in SW Scotland.

A look at Skiddaw & Northumberland.

Took this to remind me of a lovely afternoon was determined to do this as I am getting an ankle replacement next month & hillclimbing will be off limits for a long time.

Returned home to find the farmer had been busy & all was safely gathered in leaving a lovely view towards Burnswark.A rewarding day.
