No Droop Bluebells

I have some self sown Spanish ones I feel free to pick to enjoy the perfume in the house. I discovered that if you take the vase full of water to the bluebells and put them in the water one at a time as you pick them they haven’t got time to lose any sap and they don’t droop! (Many decades before this thought arose, lol…)

No it can be a bit difficult. Wish I'd known that years ago - haven't got any lilac now, except little Palibin.

Good to know this, Sue and Eileen..my bluebells ate still a small patch at the moment and I’ve a small lilac too..so, it’s definitely something for me to try.

I will remember this as we have lots of Spanish bluebells.

Thanks for this. I don’t bother picking them because they droop, now I know what to do in future.
