Garden Visits 2015

As my own garden is small and we like to get out and about when we can, there is nothing nicer than visiting one of the large gardens around us. We are members of the National Trust so now my husband has retired recently we intend to make full use of our cards and visit the local ones often to see the changing views from Spring through to Winter.
We also have the small but interesting gardens in town, Fox Rosehill has some beautiful trees and camellias that are a joy to behold this time of year. Tucked away behind the beaches its a little treasure. Gyllngdune gardens are also well worth a visit with a beautiful shell grotto and a shell grotto shelter you can sit in and marvel at the different shells and patterns. Just two but we also have Kimberly park with monkey puzzles etc and St Marys gardens on the seafront.
All in all we won’t be short of places to visit this year so hoping the weather starts to play nicely!
Today we nipped into Glendurgan Gardens as it’s opened up for the season this week.

Strangely enough no we haven't, pass it often but we some how have never been in. If I remember correctly think they are connected to the family at Caerhays on the Roseland another visit we must do!
Don't you find sometimes the more local a place is the more it gets overlooked, but then we are quite spoilt for choice here and until this year we have been working so short on time.
Will let you know what I think when we do visit?

It's not National Trust, but look out for Poppy Cottage on the Roseland peninsula

Zennor - if you type Poppy Cottage into the search box on GOY, it will take you to some photos I took there a few years ago.

Will do Andrew thanks! Sandra the tree ferns are beautiful and thrive in Glendurgan and Trebah. Apparently the first tree fern arrived here in ships ballast soil and was planted at Penjerrick Garden I was told..must check that fact out now i've repeated it ;-)) Linclass so much to enjoy and take photos of at NT and EH places, great way to spend the day methinks!
