Read article which says gardening is good exercise and will help weight loss. On enforced gardeners leave so decided to stop watching ‘Murder She Wrote’ and get some exercise. Will turn functional ‘green space’ into garden worthy of Chelsea. First job – jet wash patios. Husband v. supportive (when he stopped laughing at me) advised me to wear wellies, waterproof trousers and eye protection. What does he know?!! Two productive hours later patios very neat, new gravel in borders & some pots moved around. Short entry today as taxi has just arrived to take me to eye casualty to have 3 tons of sand surgically removed from eye balls. Will tell husband slipped on wet patio and landed on eye balls!!

Wt lost – none (+3 tons due to sand!)

Thanks TT, I'll catch up with JB Fletcher later in the year, I've been well and truly bitten by the gardening bug at the moment, much to the amusement of my husband and daughter!!
