Fishing again

Have had lots of strawberries ,even made jam . It beats me why strawberries are so expensive in the glut, the supermarkets have not reduced them. Think it will be a bumper crop of potatoes this year ,interesting to see if the chippies reduce the cost of chips, don’t hold your breath. Went fishing on Blue Mink, the sea was flat calm and the weather beautiful ,but only caught doggies. Andy the skipper says he prefers a bit of a chop for better fishing, I don’t mind the calm even if I don’t catch, it’s serene out at sea in this weather.
Bye for now. Pop

Hi Pop, The strawberries in our local G.G. have been as low as 50p for a large punnet and so sweet and juicy far nicer than the supermarket ones. But I know what you mean about the supermarket prices. I prefer to shop local when ever possible and support local businesses. Enjoy the fishing.

All the strawberries I bought from my local supermarkets this year, went straight into the bin. Soft and half rotten and not edible at all. Not my nature to take them back or to complain.

I don't buy (or eat) much fruit, but if I bought some I found weren't edible I'd give them to the birds rather than bin them.
