I bought a new feeder adapter to see if it would help my little bird friends to enjoy a more exciting feast. Idea worked but blinking heck i didn’t know so many Birds existed. Robins, Blue tits, sparrows, Starlings ,Pigeons, blooming out of control. 2 ltr bottle of seed emptied in less than a day. We are going to get a second adapter but use smaller bottles as the fat ball,s are being ignored. Will send snap of adapter asap. All the tiny Birds have plump little belly,s so its nice to know the adapter is favoured. Far to cold to venture out today. Take care Tony

Gosh, Ginellie, parakeets! They sound very exotic to me but they seem to be right wee pests!
Wasn't it nippy today, Tony! We had some snow here too, so it's very festive looking! Isn't it strange the birds aren't eating the fat balls, we can't keep our cage full at the moment. And the squirrel just hugs the feeder while it's eating, like it's a big teddy! Can't wait to see your new invention, Tony, is there no end to your genius! Oh, and your little round tummied birds sound soooo cute!x

Hi Elizabeth We havent had snow yet but we are expecting some later in the week. The birds vanished for 30 minuets today then in great numbers came back. Its encouraging to see them on the tubby side. Afraid i may have given the wrong impression Elizabeth as the feeder was one we bought recentley but it is,nt my invention sorry. It will attach to any size bottle via the spout but the birds love it. Today both fat ball,s and feeder were being used very very much. I will if poss get a snap on Goy of the feeder tomorrow. Its quite practical really. Not reccomended for nuts though as the plastic bottles can be raided. Take care Tony

Parakeets are a real pest here Tony. There are hundreds of them in the nearby parks and although they seem to stay there in the summer, the winter is another matter. They arrive in my garden at around 8am and even though I make it as difficult as possible for them to access the feeders they still try. They are, of course, very beautiful but I don't want them in any part of my garden.

I am having trouble with starlings and magpies this year, not to mention the squirrels, so I also had to comeup with an idea so that all the little ones could feed.We bought the squirrel proof feeders and there is a large gap where the birds go inside it , so I put some pieces of fat balls and suet inside this and it seems to have worked up to now. The trouble is ,that now my poor blackies can't reach it.So I need your expert advice Tony.

Well last year they flew away when I tried to get near for a photograph, however this year they are very cheeky and wait until the last minute so I will have a go on Saturday. Off to Brighton tomorrow for a look at the sea. Tony I've just noticed that Bamboo has Parakeet pics and he/she is also in London.

Look forward to seeing pic Tony. Is it Parakeet proof though? They are a nightmare in my garden and the little birds won't come to the feeders when they are there. I'd rather have Magpies any day.
