Spice Grower & Snow

Last weekend, on the night of 4th to 5th we had some snow. Not all regions of the city were covered with snow, and the total precipitation was a few centimeters, perhaps an inch of snow.
This picture was taken by somebody else. I’ve copied from google news.
The next night just frost. The shrub of laurel thus dawned with frost-embroidered leaves.
The rosemary also had white frosting edges.
The stones and plastic I put in place to prevent frost burned withstand the wind. I left the plants still covered with the plastic while I’m in Novo Hamburgo, and tomorrow when I go back to San Francisco I’ll remove the cover to see how the herbs stayed.
So far Happy 2019 snow and frost!
Of course hubby’s car wouldnt be safe with me around :)

I remember snow! It is odd that I live on the north side of the Serra de Santa Barbára, which is 1000 meters tall and gets a little snow, but it rarely gets below 9°C so I don't even get frost. But you can grow my favorite herb - tarragon (which I can't).

STeragram, lots of damage, but mainly on my orchids, cactus are gone, hibiscus, bromeliades, begonias, everything burned to the roots.
The herbes were saved by the plastic cover, except the basil.
Thats a great tip! I love tarragon! Will try to grow it.
