Taming the Ceanothus

I planted a ceanothus at the back of a revamped border last year but it soon became evident it needed support.
So yesterday I put up a piece of trellis, cut it back and tied it in – much better! This was the trellis I was painting the other day when the local robin came to ‘help’ and got green feet (see the blog ‘Green Footprints’); he was around again yesterday but had taken off his wellies.
And I’ve got a useful little storage area behind it.
PS. It’s now twelve months since I joined GOY. It was raining then – what a difference a year makes.

Well I hope the rain's eased off for a while now. Your trellis looks great.
