One of the more unusual flowers in our garden at this time of the year is the Cephalaria Gigantea, an old favourite which we have been growing for many years. I went to take a photograph and noticed just how many stages this plant has to go through before it is in full flower.
Amazing what you can see through the camera lens, would never have noticed this before…..

Great close-ups Dd....isn't it incredible that the outside petals know they are different to the inner tiny flowers...love the delicate colour of this one too.....

Amy you are right, can only see pictures like this with the camera as my eye sight is not brilliant...... Janey thanks we do well with this one yet the blue ones never come back......

I have taken more notice since taking pics to put on here, Goy is making me a better photographer..
Lovely pics Dd, I also didn`t recognize it by the proper name, lol, my mum used to have lots in the garden but I always lose mine...

Thanks all, pleased you liked it, as for the latin names for some unknown reason I can remember the latin names much better than the common ones lol maybe because I did latin at school and I liked it!!

Amazing isn't it Angela the dark background shows the photos off perfectly and then emerging into the light as it blooms :o)
