MY FAMILY KNOW ME WELL ENOUGH NOW TO REALISE I LIKE UNUSUAL GIFTS, SO WHEN WE WERE OUT THE OTHER DAY VISITING ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE GCs , WE FOUND SOME WALL PLANTERS, HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR PLANTERS TO MATCH THE ONES OUR DAUGHTER BOUGHT US MANY, MANY YEARS AGO…
THIS WAS THE PERFECT GIFT FOR ME, OH WAS VERY PLEASED, NO MORE HUNTING AROUND!!
WE THEN DECIDED TO VISIT AN OLD MILL WHICH SELLS ANTIQUES OVER SEVERAL FLOORS, WITH A SMALL CAFE PROVIDING HOT CHEESE SCONES, AND LOVELY FRESH COFFEE…..
HERE WE CAME ACROSS SOME VERY UNUSUAL FARM TOOLS, PERFECT FOR PLANTS, THIS WILL LOOK LOVELY WITH SOME VIVID FLOWERS IN THE SUMMER…WE THINK IT IS AN OLD WELL BUCKET…
RATHER LIKED THE IDEA OF THIS SCONCE, HOPING IT WILL GO WITH AN IDEA FOR A FRENCH COURTYARD..
SO THAT WAS ME SORTED, THE NEXT DAY SPENT BIRTHDAY MONEY ON PLANTS, ONE OF THEM BEING A HALF PRICE HEUCHERELLA, 2 LARGE SHRUBS FOR 8.00, AND MORE TULIP BULBS….
SUNDAY GRANDDAUGHTER IS TAKING US OUT TO LUNCH

Thanks K. we love a mooch around the antiques, have a few pennies left, so will be looking for some more unusual pieces for the garden...
Snoop dog I think you are right, this came from Hungary, and is certainly quite old.....loads of character though.

Annella not that I know of, they are more of a landscape business, they exhibit at Hampton Court, they do some amazing designs, the faces were part of a Gothic theme..... if it is the planters you are interested in look on Ebay they have them for sale, if you want more details I can pm you, let me know......the sconce was from an Antiques Centre, where dealers rent a space, so items are here today and gone tomorrow......

Wow! You did well there...some lovely things. happy Birthday! .....think I might go mooching around the antiques centre this weekend. OH is off to London to see the Gunners and he hates the antiques, so it's a perfect opportunity! ;) thanks for the nudge!
