Well I am certainly enjoying them. My favourite is the variegated pseudopanax. I love the white streaked prunus too. How hardy is that one please?

So many unusual and lovely shrubs. I'm pleased they are surviving for you.

What an amazing collection, it must be quite mild where you live. Please can we see a general view or two to see how they all fit in? They are beautiful and so interesting.

Stera will wait until we have some sun before I take some general shots of the garden....
Hywel as long as the weather is not too severe most plants will survive...in our climate.
Sandra we pack a lot of plants in a small space, many have to be pruned to keep them at a reasonable size...
Karen the Pseudopanax are my favourite, love all the different shapes and textures....the Prunus is hardy here!

Lovely blog of more of your evergreens ... I have Coprosma 'Pacific Sunset' in a large pot in the South facing front garden. It seems happier there than the other one in the back garden!
I also love Griselinia and am pleased to say the hedge of it I planted at a previous garden is still thriving, seventeen years on!

Shirley the Griselinia is a very useful evergreen, and good to hear it is a long lived one, I think the Coprosma is such an attractive plant, almost unreal!!

I agree ... :o)

Do you find Coprosma OK to have planted out rather than in a pot? I was told they were veryborderline and chickened out of getting one.

Stera, I can say that the one in the large pot faces South and thrives better than the other one in the shade of next doors Beech tree!

Thank you. Maybe I should have been brave. But you live in a good sunny place...Its usually comparatively mild here but very windy in winter. The nurseryman said it was "tough as old boots" which made me not trust him for any other advice...

Stera ours are in the ground, but in a protected part of the garden, they are certainly tough plants, I bought the brown one for our neighbour, and a freak winter took nearly all its foliage, she cut it back, and it's as good as new, go for it, be brave!!

That's good news. Something else is now where it was going to go but I'll keep it in mind for the future.
