These beautiful borders belong to Stoneleigh Abbey in Warwickshire.
The roses were stunning, most of them were the old varieties.
We were the only ones enjoying this beautiful garden.

Very very nice Dd.
Walled gardens and wide borders are a strong favourite with me :))

And with me - I have the walled garden (in a Spanish fashion) but the main contenders are vegetables and grape vines. I'm not really complaining - I'll go on dreaming! Beautiful photos Dd. :o)

It's beautiful. You seemed to have it all to yourselves.

I see you've been sneaking round my back garden with your camera DD! I wish!! Well not really, then I'd have to look after it as well as look at it. Very beautiful gardens.

Stoneleigh Abbey is on our agenda for later on in the year. I hope the garden looks as beautiful then.

If I was there on my own I could wander round imagining it was all my own, telling the gardeners of any changes I fancied making, lol.

What wonderful gardens - how do they get those lawn edges so perfect?

I must admit to wishing it was mine, not that I could possibly cope with something that size, my sister has a house in the grounds which gives her access to this magnificent garden, unfortunately due to very sad circumstances she will be moving on, I know she will miss living in such a beautiful settings, thank you all for your kind comments.
