OO dotty. yes i have and you're right.We got the rain during the night and it filled my buts up a treat.sunshine again today so i'm not complaining.

Yippee it rained here all night and yes the waterbutts are overflowing,we were getting pretty darn desperate,been dry most of today but gor blimey its turned very cold !!you are right tho,never satisfied,lol.......

We had a dose of that a week or so ago...that cow sure gets around a bit. Never mind...just think how much good it will be doing....as long as it gets time to soak into the parched ground. Then of course - you will probably have to start mowing the grass again...HA HA !!

Just had to go out in it and empty out the newly planted pot of bulbs as it was swimming in it. Must check the drainage when the rain stops! At least my lawn feed will be well watered in.......or will it be washd away? LOL

Can't say I have Dotty D2!!! I usually say it's pisitively possing down!!!! and it is here now. Crazy weather we're having aren't we. In fact, I've just posted a short blog on the subject!

The only rain here was today - but a nice lot! The garden sure needed it. At least I can put the hose away! :-))

Nor had I Sandra but then saw a programme about those forest clearances in tropical places by farmers for cattle and some boffin had worked out the loss of trees and extra cows combined to increase emissions.

Well no scientist but how many years did he study for before he concluded more cows = more emissions ?

I even heard on one programme that they were going to pass a law limiting the number of cows a farmer could keep because of these "emissions".....Next thing you know they will be taxing baked beans....;>>))))

Oh no better start saving now then Az ..would have cost a fortune to film Blazing Saddles ..remember them around the camp fire ..crass and vulgar but oh so funny ..

Rained here alday yesterday but its been lovely today, infact Sanbaz and myself where sat in mt garden this afternoon with a cupper.

We still had very little rain in Norfolk by the way grass is still brown ....any back to blazing saddles..........LOL

Minus two just inland first thing this morning...and zero at the back door at 6am. What sort of winter are we in for I wonder.

Beautiful day here, husband cut grass and edged,(have to admit he does a good job, might as well keep him on!!) As for the winter Alz you can have the winter......sorry, I dont want one if it is like last year.

Thank you DD...actually it has been beautiful but COLD...definitely a two-fleece day!! Got a lot done though - and my "Handy-Sandy" (lol) arrived - TG -and we got the trailer emptied - and half filled again! Oh well - that's Autumn for you.

Can I have my two weeks of summer back please? Its perishing up here! But at least its not raining for once!! Couldnt even get the grass cut tho! Had to get the washing out before the weather changes again!

I've made quite a few embarrassing mistakes by translating English to French too literally! Colloquial french is something else! LOL!

Ah oui le Francais .. my schoolboy french asked for the pissoire and I was directed to a toilet where a lady asked for a franc ..thought it a little unusual that only ladies seemed to be using it .

Some guy walked in and asked for the gents she replied in perfect english it was next door !

Lol! Mine was more embarrassing than that, I was having what I thought was a perfectly polite & sensible conversation with my boyfriend &his flatmate & the flatmate went into fits of the giggles, & Flavien told me not to talk dirty in front of his friends! I'm not telling you what I'd inadvertently said!LOL!

You cant leave it there Mp ! Like telling half a joke ...no danger of me offending anyone in a foreign language seem to manage pretty well in English ..
