Having a great Christmas Day.
My wife bought me the DVD, The Private Life of Plants narrated by David Attenborough.
Its quite old (1995) so I’m guessing most of you already know of it?
It is certainly broadening my knowledge of the reasons for flowers having differing colours, shapes and sizes…
I am finding it fascinating that so many plants rely on a specific insect or animal for pollenisation and ultimately their survival.
I have always loved the Attenborough programmes but didn’t realise this one existed… A great find by my lovely wife :o)

These progs are great. I taped them on a video when they were on the tv many years ago. I still have them. I'd forgotten about them. I'll have to watch them again. I think you'll enjoy them. You had a nice present.

Those are great shows FDM. I don't have them on DVD but I remember them. David Attenborough is always really good and the photography was excellent.

David Attenborough sounds like a great present! You were lucky! I THINK I remember seeing the original programmes. I shall look in the shops next time I'm in a town - or even on-line!!!
We have a little tradition of giving a book to each member of the family on Boxing Day - I do it, I started it when our children were very young and felt 'bored' on the day after Christmas Day. I get a book from me as well, and my choice for myself was a wonderful book on Woodland Plants which I shall enjoy very much - a good 'browse' when I can't get outside.

David Attenborough is so very knowledgeable and has a good way of explaining everything about fauna and flora.
You have this as a DVD and not a video tape ?
