My favourites are the owls - and the mouse is adorable.

Hi I love your rocks, especially the owls.
Do you know about gratitude rocks?
You find a rock that "speaks" to you personnaly, keep it in your pocket, when you see something you feel grateful about, you give it a little rub.
My own rock I picked up on Widecombe beach in North Devon.
The Christian people can paint a little cross on theirs, and use it when saying their prayers.
Have an attitude of gratitude.

What a good idea, but i also have to carry a winkle shell around all the time and if caught without it i am fined by the winkle club, thats if another member challenges with "winkles up"

I want to start a winkle club now! My dad used to eat tons of the things but I can't stand 'em.

Marge - I have a few special rocks, mostly from places where Native American Indians had settlements. They just feel right and I feel a connection to the earth.

Very nice.

Had three requests from the shop for certain rocks for customers for Christmas, have to find some painting time!

You will show them to us before parting with them won't you ? Your work is so enchanting.

Painted rocks ... I was so going to come down hard on you. In America we are talking about spray painting rocks with day glow pink or green.
People think it is purdy!:-)
If you ever run out of rocks, come visit me at Jim's. I will vacate and the lovely can be yours. There is a front porch facing east that you could paint your rocks on. For the sublet, I would hope for at least one of your creations.
I am talking of access to tons of river rounded rocks. Had I still access to the back hoe, I could dig up a few more.l
I suspect I like your owls the best, and as you have so many of them ....
What are the shops favorites? Owls and bunnies would be my guess and do you do housecalls?
Simply outstanding
Korean families often paint flat rocks with animistic symbols. Jim's daughter has done quite a few. I will suggest she round out her resume.

Thanks for the offer Herb!
Incidentally, I would never EVER paint a rock day glow pink or green! Apart from painting rocks I have also collected rocks and fossils for years, I just get such a feeling of connecting to the earth from them.
Favourites at the shop are probably owls, that's why I did a bunch of them, cats and mice probably the next favourites. It really depends what shape rocks I can find though, I know squirrels and skunks will sell well but don't often find the shapes I need..

These last two are off to the shop now.

I hope it isn't impolite to ask, or if this site would consider an answer as a solicitation to sell. If so, let me know privately.
Jim, has such a rock painted with a Native American motive. Red and black mostly. It was expensive!.
Yours details are paintings. Now how to ship them. 10 lbs. or so. Does Canada have the equivalent to our USPS flat rate packaging. 12x12x16 package can ship anywhere for 12.95. 70 lb. limit!!!!
Bubble wrap would be needed to protect from freezing! But I could wait till Spring.
Gillian, you would die for the rocks that are presented here every day.

I've avoided getting into the whole shipping thing because of a few reasons. Expense, organising to get shipped, lack of time to paint more than the odd rock when I can fit it in and arthritis in my hands making it quite painful to paint somedays would be the main reasons! Suits me fine to just do a few for the shop now and then when I can find the time.
I did consider selling from a website once but the whole thing is just too much to deal with at the moment!

Hi, I have just seen the new photos, you have got Guinea Pig ones, I love Guinea pigs, they are so sweet, I like the noises that they make. I am not allowed to have pets, as we go on holiday a lot.
You are so clever with your painting, they look so realistic.
Love Marge.

I like guinea pigs too Marge, my daughter Hannah has two and they make such funny little noises!

Fallen in love with all this....,you are really a professional artist. I like those owls so much, wish we could watch you do them. All of their eyes are so really real and all their furs too. Each of this is a masterpiece.
