Got up this morning eager to start my pond project. It was very cloudy and a bit cool with a 30% chance of rain. This first photo shows where I decided to place the pond. Seeing that I decided to go small I thought that this would be a good spot.

Next I drained the water pump feature and moved it to a new location by my back door. When I first got it I had it there and liked hearing the sound of the water from my kitchen and office when I had windows open. I will dress it up with potted plants for the summer.

Next step was to start digging up perennials. I have them on the ground in the shadehouse temporarily. After digging out the tenth plant the skies opened up and there has been a steady light rain ever since. It’s getting brighter now so I hope to get back out there soon. I’m very happy that I got the project started.
