Help has its limits!

My blog today could otherwise be entitled “Please help us to help you better.” It’s also something of a plea to any GOY member seeking help.
GOY does have a nucleus of helpers like myself who are happy to respond to your questions but I’m sure many of them will agree with me that when we do respond it’s very useful for us to see your profile. And while I (and they) would undoubtedly respect your wish to be private it would help us a great deal if we at least could discover in which County you live!
After receiving the latest private call-for-help I have no idea where that person lives and therefore their aspect. For example, while the warmest aspect in the UK faces south to France the same aspect in New Zealand faces Antartica!
So please, we don’t want your post code (or zip), we just ask that you include a few ‘gardening basics’ about your location and aspect in your profile so that we can help you better!

Hear! Hear! More than once I've checked profile before answering a question to find that there's no info on the page. Don't be shy, you GoYers. We're not the Mafia or the KGB!
I'm the Bbb!

Now after reading this I realise I haven't put anything like that in my profile. It's common sense really when you think about it. I'll update it asap.
