Goy Friends on Holiday

As you may already know from Sandra’s blog we went on holiday together with our husbands to Bournemouth, here are a few more pictures you may like to see
We stayed at the Majestic hotel situated on the East Cliff, , a lovely mature area amid wide avenues lined with Pine Trees, the hotel was excellent with good food, accomadation, facilities , service and entertainment.

The sea front was just a 10 minutes pleasant walk away. opening onto lovely sandy beaches and panoramic views
The Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool [which needless to say we decided to give it a miss] but it was a very pleasant area to relax around and enjoy a welcome cuppa after our stroll to the beach
One of the highlights of the hoiday was our visit to Portsmouth so a few more pictures of the ships.

Another enjoyable visit was a trip to Poole where we saw more boats , this time luxury Yatchts which really had the men drooling!
This one was the ferry over to the islands, it would have been nice to have a sail but we just didnt have the time!
So we had a little rest and a little laugh.
All to soon our holiday was over, but we have all these lovely pictures to keep the memories of a very happy holiday with our dear friends

I dont like the new masts on HMS 'Victory' - want it putting back the way it was before.

Nice memories,Carole..you didn't mention we were freezing on the pier in those Deckchairs ! Lol..hence my windproof cagoule.:o) ...lovely views of the beach though..it all passed far too quickly ...and Diane,the masts were taken down in 2010 for repair,so I'm sure they will be back soon in all their splendour ,I hope so anyway..

We were in that area about 6 weeks ago, Carole, saw snow falling at breakfast one day! I recognise the hilly path in pic 3 and 4 ... walked along there. You all look to have had a lovely holiday ... :o)

Lovely. I was down there last weekend as well, and have a photo of me in front of the sunseeker boat at Poole Quay. Wonder if we were there at the same time ? There is so much to see down there I want to go again.
