A Visit To Great Nana and Grandads House

It was lovely to get another visit from our Grandaughter Laura and our two little great Grandchildren Izzy and Sam again.
The weather was wet and cold so this time there was no playing in th garden. So we had to think of somethingto keep them happy and occupied inside.
I like Art and Crafts so I set up a little session for our lively little pair. The task was to decorate a little card doll each.
In no time at all they were busy sticking, cutting, painting and decorating, thought you would like to see their finished results;0)

Dont They Look Grand!

Well after a little buffet lunch, our two little visitors wanted something a bit more energetic to do, so out came the Party Blowers guaranteed to be a success!

Next on the list came Hide and Seek, it wasnt long before I found them squealing with laughter and bouncing up and down on one of the beds!

The playtime came to an end with both little ones trying to see who could put a foot in their mouths lol

After a little drink and lots of hugs Izzy and Sam left for home with Mum Laura, and we returned to a very quiet and still house! Time for a sit down and a nice cup of tea;0))

Its a good idea to set up things for them to do in advance.
Put them in a seperate box, or scrap book at the ready.
At August school holidays I used to have the programme on the kitchen door, one hour for each activity, with reading time, then walking and observation time, in between. Then meals.
Kept them busy every day for 6 weeks.
Then they grew up and bullied me into taking them on the coach to London to the Science Museum.
Once in there I wasnt wanted anymore. Told to sit on the settee and do my knitting.
Oh well, it comes to us all.

PansyP I thought you must have had a lot of experience teaching the tinies with all those ideas! You haven't lost the touch!

Ah Dianne, that's sad in a way but I hope you went round and enjoyed things on your own - such a waste to just sit knitting unless you know the museum well and have seen it all before...I read somewhere that they have removed the big dinasaur - it won't be the same will it?
