Yellow Flowers.

I don’t usually plant yellow flowers, though it’s not that I dislike the shade…I guess with so many other shades to choose from, I tend to leave yellow for another day, and go for whotes and reds, pinks, purples, even oranges, more often than yellow. But this year I noticed that despite myself I have quite a number of yellow flowers in my garden! The newest are my trio of marigolds:
“Little Yellow Devil” a very nice lemony yellow flower, it always reminds me of the phrase “lemon chiffon”:

And Hero Gold Improved, a darker yellow flower:

And Bonanza Flame, really an orange and red combination, which has the smallest flowers of all:

Here they are all together:

My yellow lantana “Samantha” is also blooming, after being overshadowed a bit by its red sister:

And among the pot o’ pansies there are these yellow ones:

Yellow is a bright and sunny color I should really make more use of – I’m really glad I finally got around to planting some!

Lovely shades of yellow ! ...
I agree it is strange how we suddenly realise we have quite a lot of a particular colour of flowers in our gardens... without exactly planning it ! :o)))

Lovely shades. Yellow's supposed to symbolise optimism and positivity - or so I'm told. :))

I love yellow in the garden, it's so striking and cheerful but doesn't always go with the pink shades that I also love. Daffodils never fail to make me smile in the Spring :o)) Your lovely yellow pics are just what I need for a smile on this dismal November day :o)))

Such a nice colour to cheer up a bleak November day, even though blue is my favourite colour I love the yellow welsh poppy.

Thank you everyone for your comments! I'm glad that you like the shades of yellow, though I have to agree with Lily2 that it tends to clash with the pinks...but it IS such a cheerful color, I'm glad it made you smile and that it left a cheery note on a November day! Mavisc52 I have never seen a yellow welsh poppy, I thought all poppies were red or orange??
