Terracing the back garden. (1)
Steven and I are on a mission. To terrace the back garden, level out the lower area, landscape and lay either decking/ slabs to the bottom left of the garden in order to have a place to sit eat/drink in the coming summer months. There are only the two of us (plus two smaller versions of us aged 3 and 5) and we are determined to reach our goal.
The longer winter has allowed many more hours of thinking and planning in the Dobbies cafe and now the soil is frost free- there’s no stopping us!

Thats coming along well Mrs A, my previous garden had a slope and we terraced it and put a patio area top and bottom it worked well and we always had a sunny spot to sit.

Well done! It's just as well the garden slopes away from the house, with all that clay underneath the thin layer of topsoil you'd be boggy in no time otherwise. Looking forward to seeing the final results of your efforts later!

This is exciting !
I like the planning stages of a new garden ..... it's all the hard labour/work that kills though !!!!
It doesn't sound like there'll be an area for colour though ..... no flowers, trees or shrubs ?
