Thank you, Sue, Karen and Sbg. It's time consuming keeping a garden tidy, as we all know, but its nice to be able to enjoy it, in this good weather.

Sue, we had a lucky escape with the lawn, earlier this year, as we had a mole digging around in January.

You have a lovely garden Alan, I do like a garden that encourages a meander and yours certainly does that, I dream of having perfect lawns but also love the company of my dogs, they are good really and rarely step on my flower beds but unfortunately playtime and lawns is not a perfect combination..

Thanks Sue, Paul and Jane. Our daughter has just visited with her two Jack Russells ... the lawn did get well scarified whilst they were here and the odd tete a tete flower head took a hit. Apart from that, not too much damaged at all. It was only a 4 day visit though ...They did provide some extra bark chips after chewing a few sticks .... lol.

Paul we have neighbours either side, fortunately the houses are well spaced out. You can see one of our neighbours garages behind the honeysuckle arch and fruit trees. This was my attempt to make it less conspicuous.

OH cuts our grass it makes me mad that I spend hours weeding but it never looks anything until he cuts the grass!!, likes his stripes too lol.

Thanks Kathy. Very envious of a striped lawn. I never manage stripes with my littly hand mower, as it only has a light roller. Did you see the Alan Titchmarsh series, were they surveyed Britains best lawns. A gentleman in Scotland has won it regularly, he cuts his lawn every day in summer, it was just fabulous, but he never went on a holiday in summer, so as to keep his lawn looking nice. You would think the edges had been trimmed with a straight edge and scalpal.

Morgan never chews, he's a choc/lab and at nearly 12yrs old is quite happy just laying in the sunshine, now Brynner is a dab hand at pruning, therefore providing his own sticks, he's a flatcoat retriever and at only 5yrs is still full of energy and very playful, luckily he always prunes the Buddhlia that grows in the dogrun, almost as if he's saying that anything in there is his, lol......

He obviously likes to keep his dog run tidy ... "well trained", I'd say. Off to feed some Rhodies at the Golf Club now.

So many new names and players these days .. it's big money these days, if your any good at it. In my youth, there was only three big names, they were Player, Palmer and Nicklaus.

Yes, Alan .. lots of new names doing well ... but I haven't had opportunity to watch much of the TV coverage ... keep practising those golf swings and we'll see you competing with Ernie and Angel ;o)

Thanks Len, glad you like the photos. We're now into the pots and hanging basket season, so I need to get the water butts full of rainwater (hopefully). Shame it doesn't only rain at night, still I'm sure in years to come someone will be able control that.... lol
