Plants in my garden

Our summer season is over, the stores have shut and I now have the time my garden needs. Pulling weeds out, bringing more rock in, need more gravel, etc. etc. etc.
Here are some of the plants in my garden.

But first……Spike

The guard of my house, shops, garden and our friend.
The dog will not sit still for a picture!!!

This is a huge Chrysanthemum..it was only a twig the size of an index finger last year.

Ruellia brittoniana (Mexican Petunia)

Smaller Chrysanthemum with my Polygala in the background.

A broken pot with white roses.

My niece gave me this statue for my name-day…this little rose has bloomed a few times this summer (a little offshoot from my mom’s plant)

Red Rose.

Can’t remember the name of this tree now…..

My Rosemary bush…I’m going to TRY to give it some shape. Cut it back last week, it had grown way to big.

Corner of the garden.

My neighbours reeds that grow right up to my balcony. My hubby went and chopped down loads and loads.

Thanks Tt. There are so many different plants in the garden but they are so small that they don't show up in the pictures.
Hopefully next summer the garden will start to fill up.
Spike is a handfull but we love him.

Yes ... even better next summer :o)
Is the tube tunnel for Spike to run through ?

30 Oct, 2011

That tube tunnel is for Spike....he went through a period where he didn't want to go into his doghouse......so we put this on the other end to see if he liked it. He just uses it for shade.

Dogs seem to enjoy tubes for running through etc.
Good idea for shade. :o)

We built him a dog pen in the summer. He hated it, so we have this really really long cable he runs on. We want to close off the property so he can run around freely.
We have to be careful with him in the summer will all the tourist.

You've got lots of interesting plants in your garden. That Chrysanthemum must have thousands of flowers on it :o)

Spike looks friendly ...

There is more to come.....

I've never seen a Chrysanthemum so big.

Spike is turning out not to be too friendly with strangers.

That's a shame. Maybe they frighten him...

Thanks Sanbaz. Yes, I feel like I'm free again.
It feels fantastic just to be able to stay in the house for more that a couple of hours.
There are so many things that need to be done before the season starts again.

Thanks Bjs. I'm looking into wood chips for the garden. The weeds are killing me, I pull them out today they're back tomorrow. I just can't keep up with it. Spike...ah...trouble. Mine eats like a horse. Twice a day and always wants more.
