Lovely pots,bjs..and your chimney pot is the same design as mine, from our old house..

The quirkier the better for me but I think Chimney pots are the best as they stand out and come in so many different types, I've never seen one with a Cotinus coggygria in it though :-)))

Caserole dishes I use to use these for lovely chimney pot and flowers.

The plants are in separate pots inside, i can lift them out if we have a lot of rain.
Heron i assume you are referring to the crown on the pot its held by four vertical struts and you can see straight down through .

When I joined and called myself 'Blodyn' everyone thought I was a she.

I call myself He ron but I suppose there are Lady Herons, I often get it wrong. On another forum we Have a Mr/Mrs/Ms under our Avatar.

OOps, just noticed my Avatar, a dead give away! lol, especially with the hair-cut and neck tie, don't think I've worn one since then.

I thought you were a funny looking girl Heron lol!!!

I I was going by the name..so .am so sorry,Dylandog..,but please please come down off that roof !!!.I'm glad I am not the only one though, but we just assume,if no one refers to their gender...If I'm unsure,I read the "about Me"
to see if I can find out,before I comment...haven't read yours yet,Dylandog,should I have ? Lol.
Heron,I actually sussed yours out for myself....so getting better....
Oh,surprise..is that really you?..
13 Jul, 2010
No need to be sorry Bloomer, as you say we all assume when we look at an avatar. Dylan is one of my dogs, hence the name. I don't think my gender is mentioned in my profile either, so will have to put that right..:o) Oh, and I managed to get off the roof safely and the chimney pots stayed put as they are not as nice as the ones in Heron's pics......lol

If you have a reclaimation yard near you Annella, you could try there.
