Another month gone by and becoming desperate for some rain on all my Rhodos and camelias, they are not easy to reach with a hose. in contrast the area near the house I can water .so here is what you would see in flower right now were you to arrive on the doorstep.with a bit about pots as well
Delphinium Blue Butterfly 2 years old
A nice Rose but oh how fast they go over in this heat !
These were planted in case england won the cup( Joke) think I should hide them in a corner

The pot of young fushias i bought had two different plants in it quite pleased with the effect
Salvia ‘Hot lips’ how hot is that!
Rudbeckia and Petunias
Rudbeckia Irish Mist from seed last year
Delphinium Black eyes
Rambling Rose
While taking this photo of my re potting of Bulbs and corms for autumn and spring I thought you may like to see what was used 70+ years ago befor the age of plastic
Over the years i have collected together a number of old pots all clay
This picture shows Flats, half Flats(seed pans) long toms,Half pans, and the top hat each has the name of Ward or Sankey stamped in them there are many others hand made showing the finger line as they were hand thrown
Half flat close up some sort of comb used to clean the top edge
Another small seed pan
Top hat my favorite I keep this one inside in winter in case the cold cracked it
Finally a few shots around the balcony
This is the missing one where the ref to the world cup is

Blue Butterfly was seed i think Sutton's from a local garden ctr 2008
The white one believe it or not Salisbury's supermarket in May this year.
Kfunsters most of the pots I have had a good many years and were collected when i was showing Alpines, I took the entire stock of two small nursery when they changed to plastic and a few good ones were in with them.the two half flats came from the garden shed of a retired gardener when he passed away,
the top hat was my fathers he obtained it from the remains of hardware warehouse in the centre of Bristol when it was being made safe after a bombing raid in 1940 i have another interesting one that was also rescued at the same time, will show it another time ,be careful of frost with your collection I lost two good ones that were planted and left outside

Thank you for your comments ,the balcony is very pleasant for coffee or something stronger, no steps to fall up coming back that way.Out of interest my potting shed is below it,I built it about 10 years ago.it was my trade before I retired so it was not such a big deal.I would like to put a Romeo & Juliet balcony directly above from our bedroom ,however my wife says it would be to cold.so i am not allowed.
Have fond memorys of the area you live and the nurserys around you with plants to remind me
