You big softy, you know she wouldn't try it on with a woman, they know all the tricks. Or maybe she knew a man would do a better job......I'd better shut up I'll be in deep water!
28 Aug, 2010

28 Aug, 2010
even deeper heron lol just u wait ............ haha ;0))
28 Aug, 2010
Are you in hiding Heron? :o))
28 Aug, 2010
I'd say that wasn't so much a bargain for your sister-in-law once you add in your labour charges. Even the minimum wage is £6-something per hour and I'm sure it must have taken at least a couple of hours to pot up that lot?
28 Aug, 2010
Got my helmet on !!
28 Aug, 2010
what about the concrete wellies lol
gosh you are a brave boy :o)
28 Aug, 2010

LOL....Would you like some more 'practice' and do mine too, Heron, when they arrive?...I'll take it THAT was a resounding 'No!' then?
28 Aug, 2010
..OOOPS!...Sorry, BJS! Note to self.... I really must check avatars!
28 Aug, 2010
I'd love to do yours Izzy, unlike Bjs I need the practice. ;-)) ps. Thanks for helping me steer my way out of the mire :-))
29 Aug, 2010

29 Aug, 2010
Ahhhh well I suppose they will grow into something very beautiful BJS! I have to say that they look quite impressive all laid out like that.
29 Aug, 2010
Ladies you may have problem getting your own back on Heron apparently he is listing his address now as San Francisco !!!!!
29 Aug, 2010
I hope sister-in-law at least brought you a lovely bottle of wine to have with your dinner.
29 Aug, 2010
BJS let us all know how today went,!!!
29 Aug, 2010
Wagger No bottle of wine No washing up, still claimed to be ill. She ate the Roast Beef Dinner to the last Bean. Then home made sponge for dessert.followed with Coffee, shortly after she was ready to go home. I put her trays of pansies in to my car and drove her home as quick as possible.LOL
29 Aug, 2010
Good appetite for somebody sick, ill and bad, LOL What a true gentleman you are!!!
30 Aug, 2010
Oh Wagger I don't get called that very often,
30 Aug, 2010
How many trays of pansies did she give you.!!
30 Aug, 2010
Blimey Heron ... there's keeping your head down (complete with helmet!) ... & there's running away ... but to San Francisco?!!! We're not that scary surely?! Lol!! :o)))
Wagger ... I think 'saint' is nearer the mark after all that ... pansy planting plus accompanying purchases, delicious dinner AND chauffeuring home? With no token of thanks on offer? She must be the sister - in - law that gives all others a bad name!!! ;O))
30 Aug, 2010
Yorkshire i still have some of them in my glass house. She has offered but i already have larger plants of my own so am not sure if i want them or not....((suppose i could sell them).
30 Aug, 2010
I agree with Fluff. and yes" Saint Bjs," sell them why not, after all it was you who did all the hard work.
30 Aug, 2010
haha...ate your homemade sponge for dessert...she sounds a bit like a 'sponge' herself.
30 Aug, 2010
Hope she isn't thinking of joining Goy,Bjs,..keep it quiet,or you really would be in trouble..Lol.
30 Aug, 2010
Bloomer. No fear of that she thinks a PC is a Police Constable.LoL
30 Aug, 2010
I do hope you get a share of the pansies for your trouble! :o)
31 Aug, 2010
Lol,Bjs, that made me laugh.....:o))
31 Aug, 2010
Well, I must say, Bjs, what a blooming cheek. First, I can't understand why people think these offers of zillions of tiny plants for hardly any money are worth it - there's far too many of them, they're too small, and not enough time for them to make good, reasonable sized plants to go through the winter and flower. By the time you've bought the compost and pots and laboured potting up and then potting on, they actually cost a bomb, especially cos you always lose a fair few anyway.
And I've heard of convenient headaches, but this absolutely takes the biscuit - anyone with a migraine won't be eating, that's for sure. Maybe its time you learnt to say No, bjs, or for preference, something like you're having a laugh, they'll be fine till your migraine's gone, it'll only take a week at most. Or possibly, stick em where the sun don't shine would be my choice... but tact isn't my strong point. She gives us wimmin a bad name!

Bjs - how about gently 'reminding' her in the spring you'd like your pots back all washed and cleaned?
1 Sep, 2010
Andrew i will get them back not sure about washed and cleaned. Will let you know
1 Sep, 2010
Oh! thats really a sad affair. But you helped her and she should part some for the rewarding job that you have done.
2 Sep, 2010
Thats some bargain..160 plants, 160 pots, half tonne compost and a three course meal..all for £9.99.
