As promised another set finished ready to go out in the garden in spring, this will be the last of them for this year.
First pic shows T.W as she came from Past Times
The following pictures show the finished set,I mixed cement to make the base, collected leaves and pressed them in the cement to leave imprint when removed. The line posts were already cut so pushed them down in while mix was still soft. All the wood has been dipped in preservative and finished with marine varnish so should last a few years.Baby came from green fingers in Scotland.and finished to match.Still required are some tiny items to go on the line.No good with a sowing machine(Wonder if Val can Sew)Doubt it! Any way will sort it by April for the grand opening.Lol
The final item for this year is Peter Rabbit but he will be a sort of cut out still to make.
In case you all think i have abandoned the garden not so have started sowing seed and even took a few cutting from a plant that had rotted.

I do not know any fairy tale about Mrs Tiggy (Twiggy, lol), but she is lovely and you too :)

Katarina.Mrs Tiggy-Winkle is one of a number of characters used by the author Beatrix Potter 1866-1943
She wrote over twenty childrens books of which The Tales of Peter Rabbit are the most famous,Early editions of this book now sell for many thousands of pounds.I think i am right in saying she has sold more Children's books than any other author ever. She became quite wealthy and bought Hill Top Farm in the Lake District in the UK, as she prospered she bought more and more farms. At her death she left everything to the National Trust .Today much of it is now the Lake District National Park where people are free to travel and walk.
There is a lot more to her life but will leave it at that.
(Twiggy means thin in English)

Did you read her book as a child :)
Ach, Bjs, as I am female foreigner, I very well know who was Twiggy in sixties, but did not know Beatrix Potter, because I read old Czech and Slovak writers for kids when I was child. Pardon, also Russian authors...

Katarina
I don't remember them as a small child possibly more attractive to little girls,I can not remember what my mother read to me.Once i could read myself it was adventure stories, and nature books I read.

Me too. Till ten I have read all books from Karl May, A.C.Doyle and travelogues. Also all books available on ancient Greek, Egypt and Mexico. I read more boy books. But now, as I am older, I am getting more sentimental and like naive fairy tales :)

K
A.C.Doyle of course is famous for his Sherlock Holmes story's but wrote many others,he had a very sad life. Loosing all his family. Have you read all of his books.
Karl May, other than that he wrote 'Shatterhand' I know nothing about him.
