Garden again covered in the white stuff , sun peeping through and beginning to thaw poor plants no sooner recover than get buried again .
Need something to cheer me up so thought I d share what birds been up to..in their efforts to locate food.
Those nice long legs of mine come in handy – think I ve spotted something you 2 have missed.
Ah ha stick to your high fat diet guys .. these mealworms for me mmm.
In the background you can see battered helebores but coprosma shrub and myrtle still holding on ….you can also see my fork bent trying to dig through this rock solid ground.Nothing for it swapping gardening tools for these …
and a small case of explosives !

This Picasa photo shop came with computer it gets constantly updated so this is version 3 - not a techie very simple to use .Computer tells me I ve received update if I had to ask for it probably would nt know where to start ..
Must be common to be included in computer so guess you should be able to download Picasa ? You then get a text box appear , you can change type colour placement of text have it in a box like Gee does or have clear backgound like here.
Simple to use and could actually detail plants etc direct to photo.I also save originals without text.
Jacque uses something called Picnic which she says can be downloaded free and performs similar functions .
As for Coprosma Spritz think its hanging on out of sympathy - looking round thinking poor chap if I give up he ll have nothing left !

Thanks for making me chuckle Bb - particularly the top pic of the crows/rooks on the stump - looked to me like they were practicing a dance routine!

I always enjoy your little story lines BB they are great fun .
I have downloaded the picasa and have used it on some of my own photos its fun , I bought a book from Tesco called Digital photography it was £5.00 it showed you how to do it and explains a lot of things , a lot of it goes over my head , but it has been very usful to me .......well worth having ....

Amy...its so good to watch the birds, and sometimes the expressions just lend themselves to captions.no matter what the technology..nature has its own way ! x
13 Feb, 2009
Billiant blog BB....Love your captions. I'll have to try doing that. I don't have Picaso but I have Photo Studio which should do the same kind of thing.
14 Feb, 2009
Lol.Bb as usual another great blog, think your choice of tools looks a teensy bit drastic tho...
14 Feb, 2009
Fun photo set, BB, thanks, I enjoyed them.
Looking out of the window at 8am I can see that our snow is just sarting to go back - goody.
I have photoshop elements and find it useul for writing captions on pictures. There realy is nothing magical or difficult to it - and I am the worlds worst at technological stuff.

Thanks Gilli....Oh Lincslass...desperate measures for desperate times ! Only joking...snow thawing fast here today, just everywhere waterlogged now lol. Hopefully thats the end of it,as mild weather forecast next few days !
Bulbaholic...glad to hear your weather improving...its certainly been a long haul !

BB loved your pics as usual, put some brown bread out today which attracted the gulls, it took them ages to circle around (the garden is small) but 4 of them managed to pick it up......and the pigeons had the rest, moving the seed feeder tomorrow.....watch this space!!
14 Feb, 2009
Hi Dd thank you - we used to live near sea front and gulls gave up on going to sea for fish.
They would wait for night clubs to empty knowing there would be loads of excess pizzas and kebabs on offer - probably got a taste for lager as well !
Good luck with the feeder - looking forward to seeing how you get on.
