Thanks Paul,They did! I was amazed. We've now decided to replace the right hand trellis with fencing .
When the weather is nicer I have 3 clematis which I bought for a fiver at Tatton Park last year, to train up the left hand fence.

Me too, I've planted about 6 down one fence but they're still very small, but my Montana is 3 yrs old now and quite big and in full bloom

Decided to replace the trellis on the right hand side, this is being done tomorrow, not sure whether they can save the ivy or maybe just cut it down a bit, it grows quite quickly.
