Social Distancing Walk 2 VE Day

This walk was premeditated although Cassie & Ashby had no idea we were going to Happy Valley or that it would last 2 hours.
I took a drink in my inside pocket. I never do that.
It has been dry so the water in the stream was very low. But the good news was steep slopes were easy without mud!!
This is on our doorstep and really nice & quiet on the whole.
The playing field belong’s to Cassie’s old school. a tall hedge hides the Peak District & hills……Really I wonder what hides the school. I could not see it at all.
When we got back we cooked as I was incharge of the chicken. (Don’t ask) No time to do a curry so it was pasta a la Bill. I was so exhausted I cooked a pan of green beans without putting water in…oops. I did notice after a few mins & no veg was harmed. Pauline is unable to do big walks at pres. Appetite is larger with all this healthy activity.

We did 9960 steps. Why did I think it more like 19960?
Cassie wants a repeat & I want to hide somewhere

Looks an idyllic walk, I hope you had several rests during your two hour outing. At least with the lock-down the weather has been reasonable, though the garden could do with more rain. Have fun.
