Adding plants around the pond

Hi all, been to the garden centre today – Dobbies – to get some plants to edge the pond. I’ll list them and let you look at the photos – Veronica Oxford Blue, Lonicera Gold, Calocephalus (barbed wire plant) and Potentilla Fruiticosa. There’s also a Viola Labradorica which I forgot to photograph. The Potentilla is gorgeous – the foliage feels really soft and it has delicate vermillion flowers. The label says it should grow to 24" tall which is probably a bit big for where it is but I couldn’t resist it! I’ve also added some pea gravel in between the plants to cover the bare edges of the pre-formed pond.
We’ve been studying pumps but can’t decide if we need one with a filter or not. I’d like to add a few fish eventually and would be delighted if any frogs moved in – not sure what the four cats would make of frogs though!
