Sunny sunflowers

Friends all over the country, and beyond, are growing sunflowers in a sunny memory of a little boy who was born with an incurable disease and who only made it to 14 months. Mine are getting bigger by the day and I hope to plant them out soon. In memory of Jacob. Now 145 cm tall and still waiting for flowers – I think they are going to be big!

Yes Terra. My message seems to have disappeared into the ether! Well, they are now 2.39 meters (a week ago) and could be the biggest grown of all of us who grew them. My eldest daughter has just taken part in "The Bloody Long Walk" in Melbourne to raise money for the Australian branch of Mitochondrial Disease which little Jacob perished from. They walked 35 km today, bless them and they carried sunflowers with them. I shall try to get a photo from her.

Yes... do add a photo, please ... that's a long walk !
And add a comment here to alert everyone, when your photo is added. Thanks.
2.39 meters... that's almost 8 feet ...
I wonder if the sunflowers are over 8 feet now ...
... well done :o)
