Few more pics

It’s beginning to look a bit overgrown to me, but I can’t work in this heatwave, so here’s a few pics of my produce. I should be picking runner beans this week, have already had four mini cucumbers and the plant is loaded. My little tumbling tomatoes, yellow, were a bit late going in but are setting fruit now.

I thought just the same ... the heat has meant I am dead-heading and watering either early morning or late afternoon/evening. Rain is forecast for tomorrow ... the ground is so very dry that I hope it pours down!

I agree with the others that is looks good. We have had rain on and off most of the day but we really needed it and all my water butts were emptied long ago. Wanted to pick my runner beans today so think I will have to brave the rain. :-)

Gardens do tend to get overgrown as summer progresses but yours looks nice and mature :)
Good luck with your vegetables ...

Its a nice idea to grow been wigwams in the border - they look very decorative as well as being useful!

Thanks to you all, lovely comments. I've been doing the same thing Shirley, watering early morning , my butts are empty too, so it's watering cans and sometimes the hose. I usually grow my beans in short rows, but thought I would try wigwams this time, and they are quite pretty too.

Looking good Cinders, now I'm wishing the heatwave would hurry up back, ours disappeared last weekend and I'm sitting indoors wondering whether to turn the heating on for a while....The garden is confused as well and already has the look of autumn about it....

O dear Lincs, don't worry, it's coming back this week, but I don't know where this year has gone, it seems to go quicker every week to me. My garden is starting to look a bit tatty in places too.
