I haven’t taken many photos this year, for various reasons, but walking around this morning thought I had better make a small record of this year. You will probably think it doesn’t change much, as indeed it doesn’t, so this is what it looks like now.

Looks like a brilliant use of a fairly small space - so many interesting nooks and crannies - just invites exploration!

Thanks Brian. I have to admit I do use a lot of little blue pellets. I put them just inside the rim once the leaves open up, but they usually get to them eventually. It's a constant watch. As for beans in pot, I usually grow a few extra as slugs and snails get a few, but this year they did not, so put them in tub. Have done it before, it's fine. Can't be without my runner beans Brian.
Thanks Stera, it is only a small garden, and packed with everything. Very much a cottage garden.

Lots of amazing colour as usual Cinders. I love the attention to detail...little nooks and crannies and your pots all look so well-cared for. Are you in the competition this year?

Thank you thrupence, I do my best.
O Karen, it's not up to your standard I'm afraid, it's too small, but. I'm happy with it, and that's what counts. I can just about still manage it, but my entering competition, no not this year.

Thanks Homebird, it's small, but at least I can manage it.
Sandra thank you. I can't change it now anyway, it would be too much for me. I work in short bursts ! But love just pottering.
Howell I'm fine again now thank you.

Hi Eileen, thank you, did you go to the show this year, I often think about the time we met there, really enjoyed it.

It definitely passes with flying colours for me Cinders! :) its a lovely little garden. I like small gardens...you can do a lot in a small space as its so less time consuming and less exhausting to maintain.

Cinders, your garden really is looking good with so much colour and your pots and containers filled nicely. Seeing your Heuchera around the garden makes me wonder just how many of mine have perished.

Your garden is looking so colourful. I love the way you've used the dividers. A great idea.

Karen it's surprising how much you can do with a small garden. If there is a space I fill it, no set plan.
Shirley thank you. I have been dividing up my heuchera and potting them for our market, so they are everywhere at the moment.

Thank you Lisam. Very kind.

Do you find some of them, especially the darker varieties, seem to grow up and out of the soil almost? Or is that just in my garden . . . . .
5 Jul, 2017
Yes I do, as they get older they seem to make new rosettes that are just resting on the soil. I sometimes take those off and pot them up.

You have such a lovely garden! I love ones with different sections and wee nooks :) Hope I'll be able to create that for myself one day!

Thanks for the compliment Mizzle, I hope you will be able to show us how you are getting on with it soon.
7 Jul, 2017
Cinders, I need to go on a 'Heuchera Hunt' to see just what I have in the garden now!

Why don't you try Plantagogo (Vicky's site), for colours etc. If you need to match up.
8 Jul, 2017
Way too tempting! I have dug up, then divided, a couple of Heucheras this morning so now have six plants. Just hope they thrive ... watch this space ... :o)

I agree, they are. Have a look at one on my blog called Paprika, looks like it's going to be a nice plant. I love the colour.
8 Jul, 2017
Ooh yes, it has lovely shades to it.
9 Jul, 2017
I nearly lost it through the winter, I think I might pot it up this year just in case, and can check for the vine weavil at same time.
9 Jul, 2017
Definitely, it would be a shame to lose this lovely one.

Looks as neat and tidy as ever.Surprised you manage to keep the slugs at bay with your Hostas low down Have all of mine raised up 2/3 feet off of the ground and they still nibble a few.
Beans look good never tried them in a container.
