Devon's Avon River

This is a lovely walk along the banks of the river Avon to the dam .
There are lovely waterfalls and rapids along its length.

Imagine in the Hot Summer months (we hope) just sitting or paddling in this cool, clear River.

On the way i spied this moss or Fern.

I love these rocks, all different colours of Lichen.

These trees grow all along this walk, just look at the way these Ferns actually grow in the moss that has attached itself to the Tree.

This tree is by an old building or should i say part off it.

This lovely bright Yellow Fungi is growing on the Tree i think, If you go in close you will also see a small Sea shell, how did it get there ?

It's in the South Hams, west of Kingsbridge, Teds. Beautiful part of the county!

I've never seen ferns growing in moss on a tree - pretty! That water must be very inviting in the summer.
