Today we went out again, I hope i am not being a pain in the butt but at this time of the year there isn’t much for us to do in our small garden. We went to Hope Cove in South Hams today the weather was not too bad but cold.Anyway, now to our day out.

Then I spied this, Beautiful.

How about this for a holiday ?

This is an unusual Rock, lovely colours, i dont know what it is.Can anyone tell what it is ?

This is Inner Hope Cove, lots of lovely thatched cottages.

Then we saw these lovely Birds/Animals on the thatched roofs, they were made of Reed thatch too, some great work really

Then home for tea

Lovely cottages! Like the thatched ducks. Holidaying in the white house on the beach sounds lovely, but I'd hate all the other holidaymakers being around! Lovely photos - I love a walk on a winter beach.

Not a pain at all sue, it's lovely to be taken to other places, especially as pretty as this.
I think the rock which I thought was incredible, has some schist, gneiss and maybe shale in???
I would have wanted to take that home!
Thank you, a lovely trip. No coffee and cake?

There are three rock types to be seen in this area, the older green schist, a slightly younger (80ish million years!) grey slate and a distinctive rock called Mylonite.

found this sue , hope it helps :o)

Your blogs are never a pain :o) I always enjoy them. I'd go mad if I only confined myself to cultivated plants in a bit of ground by the house lol
