Five months after we started planting the Garden

Here are a few photos. It’s a pity the weather has turned rather gloomy again. But we can’t control that, so we just have to make the most of it.

I’ve recently added two Birches, one is called ‘White Chocolate’ and the other is ‘Silver Shadow’. They bring a lot more height to the garden, and will give a much better feeling of privacy and sanctuary.

This garden is very hard to appreciate in photos because the whole central area is paved. As I gather more potted plants, and find some plants that will grow in and soften the gravel paths, this will get better. Although it’s hard to appreciate through photos it looks absolutely lovely from inside the house and when you actually get to walk around!

We started planting at the beginning of May, and I am so pleased with how the plants have settled in and grown. The weather has actually helped because it has kept everything nice and moist. But I do hope we get a bit more sunshine next year.

It looks lovely Karen and can't believe how quickly everything has come on. Probably all the rain we have been having.

That’s right Rose. I really shouldn’t complain about the rain as it has helped me out so much!

Plenty to keep you busy there, Karen!

You're right Ange. I will be planting daffs next week, weather permitting, and weeding.

Missed this one! Looks really lovely, Karen! You've created a really attractive garden. You certainly have an eye for design. Your plant choices are pretty perfect too! Gorgeous colours, looking forward to seeing it develop further.

that is such a difference in such a short time. Not surprised you are so chuffed with it.
