This week’s adventure

For my pre-birthday treat we explored Exeter Tuesday and Wednesday and had a night in the lovely Hotel Indigo which is perfectly situated near the Cathedral. We enjoyed two walking history tours, one was Tudor and the second was all around the perimeter of the city wall, 70% of which is still intact. Dinner at the Ivy was a treat!

A lovely city, much bigger than we expected. The choral evensong in the cathedral was wonderful and really had me questioning yet again why we would want to change our culture when we have such a beautiful history, rich tradition and all the rest. I am so proud to be an English Christian and that will never change. Rant over. (By the way I am 37% Welsh and proud of that too!)

So here are the few pics…enjoy! Next overnight adventure will be Winchester, but hopefully a few day trips before that.
