A Busy Weekend!

As it was sunny and dry last weekend I decided to tackle the front garden and pricking out seedlings into my lovely new mini pots :)
The Acer is starting to look good now
Some of you may remember the Clematis which was growing through a bush in the front garden, since the bush has been removed I’ve put up some trellis and attached the Clematis to it. Lots of buds, can’t wait for it to flower :)
The front border, still to be tackled:
The front border done so far, this area was overrun by Campanula and various weeds which had claimed the lives of at least 2 plants. I have put weed control fabric under the compost mulch. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo before I got stuck in…
My new Fuchsia, Joanna Lumley,
My 2 mini greenhouses are stuffed full!
I treated myself to a Sempervivium Rubin, well it’s a shame not to when it’s staring at you in the garden centre!
Something else staring at me was this little Kingfisher, I love him :)
Lovely purple tulips in the front garden:
I hope you’ve enjoyed having a peek at my photos, if only the weather forecast was better for this week so I could get out and do more!

Too right, Pixi! Such strange weather at the minute though. Today started off raining and very cold, then the sun came out and warmed up, then hailstones before the sun returned and it was quite warm again! I just don't know what clothes to wear when I go out!

Very nice pics Emma, its a case of nipping out between showers to do the garden at the moment, I just checked out where you are as you have just described our weather as well, although we ended the day with more rain, lol, your clematis and the acer are looking very healthy and your greenhouses are certainly doing well for you.

All looking good nice healthy plants - all the rain is doing good - proper April weather as I remember it from years ago.

Hi Lincslass, I forgot to say it then chucked it down in the evening! Our waterbutt is overflowing, (should have bought a bigger one!) even though I've filled up the watering cans. The greenhouse on the left has about had it's day, it's had more repairs than I care to mention hehe. I'm looking forward to getting a spacesaver greenhouse from Norfolk Greenhouses :)
Oliveoil, yes, proper April showers. This time last year we were moving house in the middle of a heat wave! In fact, we were hoping it would cool down before the big day to make it easier. As long as May brings good weather I'll be happy, I don't fancy a walking holiday in the Lake District if it's going to be raining cats and dogs the whole time!

Thanks Yorkshire and Dottydaisy2, there's still lots to be done when this horrid rain goes away!
