A Year On

How strange that I log on to GOY after what seems like years to see that my last blog was exactly one year ago!
Last weekend we decided to move our shed. It was in completely the wrong place – the sunniest part of the garden and was all we could see from the kitchen window. We’d always planned to move it since moving here in 2011. Here’s how the garden looked last year:
Some during photos:
And how it is now with my new spacesaver greenhouse in the background:
I now can’t wait to tackle the garden, I’ve already started to make new beds next to the shed to plant some tall shrubs which will hide it a bit. To the left of the shed we are putting a small fake lawn down which will improve it so much. I have so many plans I don’t know where to start!

Hi Emma
Garden looks great, you will look back on it and say that moving the shed is one of the best things you'v ever done!
Moving it really opens up your garden
I've got my eye on an spaceaver greenhouse from woolworths on line. Can I ask if you recommend the one you have?

Thats miles better CraftyE, opens up the whole garden and you get a better view, I see so many Ghouses and sheds at the front or middle of gardens when imo they should be at the bottom, they arent pretty lol. unless its a summerhouse shed thingy or very pretty greenhouse lol..
Keep us upto date plz, i love makeovers..

That's a great improvement. So much more space to work with now. Look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Thanks for all the comments :) it wasn't as hard to move the shed as we thought, it was done in a weekend just me and my hubby.
Sarahm - my space saver greenhouse is from Norfolk Greenhouses and I thoroughly recommend them. I've found it has plenty of space for what I want. I purchased one of the vents for it but am looking to get another one for the other side. The only down side for me is it doesn't come with shelves. We bought some thick MDF and made our own but it has started going mouldy so will look at getting some marine plywood soon to replace them - lesson learnt!
Keep looking for updates, as you can see I've got a lot to keep me busy now that the shed has been moved to a better place :)
