What a wonderful sight, you do get a thrill when you go pick your own. I can personally vouch for the Cherries, the pie was fantastic!
Hopefully we too will have some lovely eggs like those.

Leave the leaves alone to grow! What you don't want is for them to flower. If you can't "earth up" to get more white stalk, cut some card , cardboard, opaque plastic and fix at ground level round the stems, to encourage more white. if you spot any signs of flower stalk, cut out. :-))
