Hi I haven’t posted for a while but work has been progressing over the past couple of years- slowly getting the garden organised. Using the bare bones to build upon.
Not sure I’m doing this correctly but the next two photos are of our woodland slope, which I am only trimming as the frogs from the pond and smaller birds use this area for feeding and breeding!

The next is a bed created by filling in a few years ago one of the ponds- looks okay but in desperate need of being weeded!

This one is of my “long border” approx. 36 feet by 5 feet I have planted a Hawthorn Hedge at the back of this to hide the fencing and provide a backdrop to the border- a 5-7 year project to get it to six feet high!

This bed is 15×3 feet planned to be a lavender bed as we pass it going to the main back garden.

This bed is by the back door- the Crown Imperials were a bargain at a local nursery as they were nearly finished flowering- hard work making sure that they were planted deeply enough!

Lavender for the border.

Adding lots of grit for drainage.

3 Floribunda Roses “Arthur Bell” for extra height and spacing out the lavender.

Bed planted- just waiting for it all to grow now.

Plants for elsewhere in the garden!

And a few more!

“Long Border” weeded

Part of border by the house between box balls.

Hedge in, plants in still got space- trying to plant perennials to cut down work and cost in the future!

I’ll try to post more pictures more frequently as it grows and develops- we’ve spent lots of time and effort to develop the slopes which doesn’t really show up when you look at it, also work interferes with the gardening!

What a massive job. I had a look at some of your earliest blogs. You have certainly made enormous progress. Fantastic, keep it up and keep enjoying the areas you've already done as well as the work in progress , not always easy!!

I never seem to have enough time to post much as I'm either working, sorting our dogs or gardening!

Good progress....I like the idea of the lavender bed in a busy thoroughfare......I can't walk past lavender without touching and sniffing. We had a large circle bed of lavender in our last garden with a bird bath in the middle....I do miss looking out on it!
