gardening or lack of it

hi all, sorry about my absence. you see some time ago my wife suggested that we change the carpet and have a laminate floor or something like that. well the carpet was dirty green and had brown coffee and red wine stains. so after much thought we decided against a plastic laminate floor and put down a wooden floor using tongue and groove floorboards. also decided to lay a new skirting. i had guessed that the radiator would have to be changed so my plumbing skills would be utilised. a 7mm underlay went down on the stone floor followed by the floorboards which were screwed and nailed down. it was chaos as furniture was continually being moved around to give me access and when i finished there was a little matter of sanding down the floor, ready for varnishing. dust, there was dust everywhere. the sideboard has been de-dusted from top to bottom and everything that does not move is being washed, also the walls are being prepared for painting. we are on our second hoover as the first one died on us and when i was sanding the floor my bosch sander came to a sticky end. we hope to start painting the week-end. this has meant an enforced absence from my garden andthis web-site. there are blankets everywhere on the floor to protect it as i intend to varnish after painting. using the camera on my phone let me show you what i mean.
said the were blankets on the floor.
some parts have yet to receive the clean makeover yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rolled back the “carpets” and my nice new floor ready for varnishing.
by the way the dining table is in the hall.
hey. popped out to look at my garden……………………….
