GOOD TO BE BACK

I have only recently returned to the site, having been very busy with work. I now have more time on my hands after finishing work Christmas. I have since the beginning of March started sowing seeds which I really enjoy. I have already had Lupins which I have pricked out and put them in seperate pots to grow on. I love it when the seeds start coming through, today I noticed my Wallflowers have started to come up through the soil.
I have spent quite a lot of time enjoying the pictures of plants and reading questions and answers. I have put a few questions on myself, I find the site very very helpful.
It really cheers me up on dull and rainy days to search through all the pictures and learn about plants and shrubs.
Today I am going to plant two tubs with Pansies and Primulas. Also plant some more seeds. I have also started to collect babies off my spider plant to grow on, its very satisfying and enjoyable to watch them grow into adult plants. I have added a photo of one of my Spider Plants that I have grown from a baby.

Hiya Dian, its a very good pastime for these dull dark days, its my armchair gardening, I check out my seedlings every day longing for them to need potting on, in a few weeks I'll probably be cursing myself for sowing so many, hope you got your planting done.......

Good luck with the lupins, I can't seem to grow them successfully, as soon as there's a flower spike the slugs chew it off....
I'm thoroughly enjoying my seedlings this year, haven't grown any for ages but I could do with a bit more warmth and sun so I can start putting them in the greenhouse, I'm running out of windowsills!

Welcome back :o)
Nice to hear your seeds are doing well, and your spider plant too. I love those. Mine has died back during the winter. I'm waiting for it to revive ...

And there are plenty dull, rainy days to pass this year aren't there? Seed sowing is such a great buzz at this time of year!
The wallflowers though, are you growing them for next year???? Usually sow them in spare soil in my veg patch at end summer(after early crops have been harvested) and then transplant them in early autumn for flowers next spring.Although,I didn't sow any last year!!!
Hope your Lupims do better than mine...Ours is clay soil which tends to rot them!!
