NEW PROJECT

Its another cold morning here in Shropshire, while I wait for it to warm up, I thought I would show you all our new garden project. My husband is building me a pond and the crowning glory of my pond is going to be my Castle water feature. When finished it is going to have steps leading down from one of the entrances to the Castle gardens. Here I will planting new plants, shrubs etc. The waterfall will fall over the rocks into the pond where I am sure my fish will love their stately home. My husband designed and made all the miniature bricks and doorways himself, I supervised, lol. My Castle to date has a main entrance, sewers, battlements. I will be added more photos to my blog as we progress. I have added some photos to show you how it looks at the moment. I hope you like it. Would like you all to see my new staircase of my castle that leads up to the barracks, the barracks door has also been handmade by my husband, it is made of Oak so that it will stand the test of time with the weather. Also another arrow slit that has been added.

That looks amazing! I'm in North Shropshire and can not believe how cold it is here! A total contrast to a couple of weeks ago. I am frustrated at having to run inside every 10-15 minutes whilst we endure yet another downpour whilst trying to get some gardening done! Grrr..... Looking forward to seeing the finished result.

How is this project going now?

Hi Dandan, its coming on really well, lots more has been added to it, a causeway as I call it, a Watchtower and the pond itself is taking shape. We've set up lights around the Castle and at night it really looks awesome, it actually looks like someone is living in it, I'm hoping that it will be finished by Summer so I can introduce some fish to their grand home. I am going to be adding some more photos soon so you can see how its progressing.
